Advice for Road Runners: Achieve a new marathon PB with the Mizuno Women's Wave Rebellion Pro. It's hard to describe how fast these running shoes feel.
Underfoot Feel
The main underfoot sensation is propulsion. This is down to Mizuno's Smooth Speed Assist technology. To explain further, the cut-out at the heel section means your feet roll forward with less effort. This saves energy and improves momentum.
A carbon infused plate in the Wave Rebellion Pro enhances this rocker-like sensation even further. This plate is embedded in a thick midsole of Mizuno Enerzy cushioning. Even though the midsole is very protective, the prominent feel is one of responsiveness.
While some high-stacked plated running shoes can be unstable, the Mizuno Wave Rebellion Pro feels very structured. There's no doubt the medial side wall on the plate plays its part here.
Upper Fit
To help keep you comfortable over the course of a marathon, the Wave Rebellion Pro features an almost seamless upper construction. Premium design features such as this, can significantly reduce the chances of excess friction.
As the tongue is not gusseted, you can adjust the fit to your foot shape. Helping you get just the right level of containment in the midfoot.
Ideal Run Type
Running shoes such as the Mizuno Women's Wave Rebellion Pro help you run faster. If you have ambitions of achieving your best times in races, we highly recommend considering these. When we say faster, we mean faster relative to your pace.
For the avoidance of doubt, these are suitable for heel strikers. While the cut-out heel section will likely move your landing point, you shouldn't have to adjust your stride. In our experience, the midsole shaping also helps reduce the load on calf muscles.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
