Underfoot Feel
The Mizuno Wave Equate 7 stability running shoes should feel supportive and padded underfoot. This is because the Wave Plate both supports your feet and reduces the impact of landing. To explain further, the Wave Plate rises higher on the medial side to support your arches and reduce pronation. It also disperses some of the forces of landing and aids forward momentum.
While we don't expect you to feel as if the Mizuno Equate 7 cushioning is overly soft, the U4ic foam is padded and protective. Mizuno's premium cushioning technology, Mizuno Enerzy, sits in the heel. This absorbs the forces of landing, particularly if you're a prominent heel striker.
Upper Fit
If you're looking for good ankle hold, we recommend the Mizuno Wave Equate 7. While the ankle area should keep you feeling secure, the toe box should let your toes splay. Mizuno running shoes normally feel spacious in the forefoot. The AIRmesh upper is light, breathable and supportive.
Ideal Run Type
As the Mizuno Women's Wave Equate 7 are stability running shoes, we recommend them for runners with greater ranges of pronation. In our experience, the Wave Plate support works well for runners whose instability stems from the foot and ankle area. For example, if you have flatter arches that require additional stability, these should work better than Guide Rail stability running shoes.
The Mizuno Wave Equate 7 cushioning feels best at slower paces. When we say slower, we mean relative to your faster efforts. If you're looking for Mizuno stability running shoes that feel better at steadier efforts, we recommend checking out the more energetic Mizuno .
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
